Wendy James was born in Sydney in 1966.
Wendy's most recent novel, The Steele Diaries, was published by Vintage in May 2008.
Her first novel, Out of the Silence (Random House, 2005), won the 2006 Ned Kelly Award for first crime novel, and was shortlisted for the Nita May Dobbie Award for women's writing.
A collection of her short stories, Why She Loves Him, will be published by University of Western Australia Press in March, 2009.
Her short stories and articles have been published in literary journals, magazines and newspapers.
Wendy lives in Armidale NSW with her husband and children.
